Jay Berryman

I spent 30 years in enterprise IT, most recently as a Senior IT Analyst / Systems Engineer, working across Linux systems administration (Red Hat / Oracle Linux), data center infrastructure, and contact-center technology platforms. My work has spanned server hardware, voice and call-recording platform migrations, system hardening, and compliance work under PCI and HIPAA, along with disaster-recovery planning.

Skybaer Labs is where I keep building. It's a home lab centered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible automation, and OpenShift/container infrastructure — partly to work toward re-certifying as a Red Hat Certified Engineer, and partly because I like building things that work end to end, then documenting how.

I'm currently focused on hands-on lab work while exploring new opportunities in Linux systems engineering and infrastructure roles.
